   Synopsis : Everyone has heard a different version of what happened that night at MacCallum College. Haley was already in bed when her roommate, Jenny, arrived home shell - shocked from wild Conundrum House party. Richard heard his housemate, Jordan brag about the cute freshmen he hooked up with. When Jenny formally accuses Jordan of rape, Haley and Richard find themselves pushed onto opposite sides of the school's investigation. But conflicting interest fueling conflicting versions of the story may make bringing the truth to light nearly impossible - especially when reputations, relationships, and whole futures are riding on the verdict.

My Thoughts

Honestly, when I reading this book, for the first few chapters, I couldn't see where this story go and I thought this story is about Haley, who has got injured on her head. Might be something related to her own future that got wrecked because of the injury or something but then I realize it wasn't about it. It was something else. Something beyond...my imagination, something that really an issue that we should be foreseen that it does happening around us without we, us care...

This story is about Haley's roommate, Jenny, who is having sexual intercourse with the guy that she met during Conundrum House party but that things happened between the two of them, was not with her consent. So, it makes her felt so furious about what has happened when she finally awake - I mean sober because she's drunk. Hence, when she realizes she's called the sexual assault's line? I don't really remember what is it they called..but I think that was what it called. Because those things happened, Haley has been appointed by Jenny to be her advisor, practically, the person that Jenny really trust and comfortable for her to talk with. Hence, Haley agreed.

And that Jordan guy, who is sexually assaulted Jenny has appointed Richard to be his advisor. The thing is that Richard and Haley were like having feelings on each other but since the matter has arisen, therefore, their relationship got affected by that. Anyhow, the story isn't about these two, it just a side of this story.

Nevertheless, I think it is a good story with this issue that been brought up, the way the author's writing about this story was good - with parents' issue, friends on campus, people around either they support the victim. or they curse the victim. Kudos to the author.
