The Year is 2030, and climate change is making life on Earth more challenging. In the midst of it all, fourteen-year-old Jasmine Guzman is struggling to come to terms with the abduction of her twin sister, Jade, and with her mother's illness. Things go from bad to worse when a series of bizarre occurrences make Jasmine wonder if she's losing her mind. But, with help from Raphael, a boy at her new school, Jasmine learns she actually has special powers that are putting her life in danger. Most surprising of all, she learns that her sister isn't missing... Jasmine just needs to look in the right place: The-Place-in-Between, where the demons dwell.

This story is definitely mind-blowing. I really enjoy from the start till the ending. It's cool. A sci-fi novel that should you read next year. Put on your list. Honestly, please.

What makes me love this story?

Here is why. If you a fan of Harry Potter and The Mortal Instruments, then you shall consider this novel to read. They may not similar but the feels are there, know what I mean?

This is story takes place on 2030 is about Jasmine, she has a twin sister that been abducted when they were 10 years old, and ever since that, because of the stressful of finding her missing child that is nowhere to be found, her mother has fallen too ill. She has been diagnosed with Lupus. Things got strange when she wanted to register at the school that she supposed to attend, also she has been offered to attend there but somehow she has been sent to another school in another neighborhood and that's full of twins.

The most peculiar things appear to her when she pulls to another world - the place-in-between and discovers her lost sister and after that, she been told that she is Seer. More like a special power she has. Things getting haywire here, but what happened to her twin sister, actually? Why is she there, in that weird place with weird people(?) or a people with a lost soul has been trapped down there and she needs to fight them to get her sister back.

Overall, the plot line is definitely very interesting to read. It is great because when you start reading it, you want to find out why, what, how, it's hard to put down the book. Even the cover may not really be appealing but you shouldn't judge it by the cover because the story is very intriguing.
