Anything can happen once upon a con...

When geek girl Elle Wittimer sees a cosplay contest sponsored by the producers of Starfield, she has to enter. First prize is an invitation to ExcelsiCon Cosplay and a meet-and-greet with the author slated to play Federation Prince Carmindor in the reboot. Elle's been scraping together tips from her gig at the Magic Pumpkin food truck behind her stepmother's back, and winning this contest could be her ticket out once and for all - not to mention a fangirl's dream come true.

Teen actor Darien Freeman is less thrilled about this year's ExcelsiCon. He used to live for convention, but now they're nothing but jaw-aching photo sessions and awkward meet-and-greets. Playing Federation Prince Carmindor is all he's ever wanted, but the diehard Starfield fandom has already dismissed him as just another heartthrob. As ExcelsiCon draws near, closet nerd Darrien feels more and more like a fake - until he meets a girl who shows him otherwise.

Have you ever watch a movie - A Cinderella Story? The main character played by Hilary Duff and Chad Micheal Murray. Have you watched it? Because if you did, Geekerella is something close to that movie. I really love and enjoy A Cinderella Story movie.

Anyway, Geekerella is about a girl named Elle who lives with her stepmother and twin stepsisters. Elle's relationship with her stepmother and twin stepsisters is not that worst nor that great, it just in between because this story is not really about that family relationship but more to Elle being a fan over Starfield every since she was a kid. It's the best memory of Elle and her father. Also, she has fandom kind of blog where she talks about her beloved fandom sci-fi movie Starfield stuff and all. One day, when the news broke about Darien Freeman being the main lead of her favourite movie, she so not agrees with it and the voice about it on her blog about it and Darien reads it.

Meanwhile, Darien, well, he does not have an amazing family even though his dad manages her work stuff but he is not that happy about it even though he is a Hollywood star. He is all head over heels on Starfield like Elle but for some reason, he could not express his love on it.

So, one day, because of miscommunication, Elle and Darien start texting one another without knowing who is who and that of something good.

For me, it is a cute story and falling in love with each other through phone, I mean over -texting. I could say, it is light reading and I'm having fun reading Geekerella. The characters are all amazing especially when Elle is surprised that the girl who works with her at Magic Pumpkin is good on sewing or reconstructing a piece of cloth to amazing dress.

Oh oh! I also love when one of her stepsisters comes forward to support her. I guess she has a good heart after all.

In conclusion, it's an ordinary girl who got her dream comes true through unexpected events, she being a Geekerella, having a hot boyfriend and a friendship that she thought would never have. The author has made amazing writing not having too cheesy things in it I guess it's just adorable!

So, if you are a fangirl over something, I guess this is your kind of thing! Well, if you do not still go and read this. It's fun and adorable, you won't get bored from reading it. Trust me, it's good.
