In the past month, I have been reading lots of contemporary/romance books, so I decided to read more fantasy/sci-fi books because I need something can bring me to somewhere that would 'wow' me and I would love to discover a new adventure. Thus, there 5 books I would love to read somewhere in August.
Here it is;
1. Zodiac by Romina Russell
After reading the synopsis, review from other book bloggers even recommended by one of my friend on twitter, Rafael (he blogs at The Royal Polar Bears), I definitely intrigued to read it as soon as possible!
2. A Courts of Wings and Ruin by Sarah J. Maas
Believe it or not, I haven't read this book even worst, I have not yet read the synopsis of this third trilogy, how bad is that? Okay, fine. It's not that I do not want to read it but I'm avoiding reading the synopsis/review because I want it to surprise me! So, yeap reading this soon!
3. Cold Summer by Gwen Cole
I know I saw someone raving about this book but I don't know who or where I found it but I just discover it again just now. Yes, just 3 minutes ago. What I know about Cold Summer is about time travel which captivates myself to this pick this book, adding up to my list to read. I'm really looking forward to reading it. It happens during the present and in 1945 during World War 2. Okay, that's all I know. I shall share with you here on my blog as soon as I finish reading it!
4. The Love That Split The World by Emily Henry
Emily Henry's debut novel in 2016 that I have not yet read and she already has released her second novel! Why I didn't realize this book last year? What am I doing? Anyway, what I know the book is about a girl named, Natalie who lives in a small hometown in Kentucky. One day, something magical start to appear, it is like she's traveling into another world. Hmm. I'm not sure what it is but the synopsis has intrigued me, hence, reading it soon.
5. The Girl Who Could See by Kara Swanson
Now, that cover is really stunning! Yep. The cover is the first reason I'm picking this book to read but that's not it. When I read the synopsis I'm confident this book would not going to disappoint me at all. Here is the thing of what is it about, Fern is struggling with her life and she's caught between reality and her imaginary world. The doctor claimed she is crazy. She has this childhood imaginary hero named Tristan who saved her from the monster under her bed and outside her walls. I'm excited to start this book hopefully soon.
It should be much more amazing fantasy/sci-fi books out there that shouting at me to pick them up and swim into the adventure world. For sure, I'm all excited to start the books I have mentioned above and I can't promise myself to stick to my plan reading all of these wonderful books because I'm sure I'm going to run back into contemporary because that's me. But. BUT I want myself, no I NEED to tell myself to stick to this plan and finish reading all the books I have had stated above. I don't want myself to stick to only one genre when there are many other genres were waiting for me to discover them. So, this will be the starting of a new adventure for me to discover.
