Jax

Buried,
By my family's fame.
Dying to escape the limelight,
And finally, I do.

Being raised as a Jayne, I'm under scrutiny. The rock band my brothers formed makes it impossible to stay under the radar. Paparazzi, tabloids, rabid fans - you name it and I've got it. It all makes me sick. But getting shipped off to crazy Aunt Betty's house in my senior year of high school isn't any better. After all, there isn't a stray kid or pet in the world that my aunt wouldn't take in.

Then I meet her. She's cautious, suspicious, and not interested in me at all. But that's fine by me. Sivan Holt may be beautiful and intelligent, but she's nothing I'm looking for.

Sivan

Drowning,
In my past.
Struggling to feel settled.
And finally, I do.

Growing up in the foster care system, I longed for a sense of belonging. All I wanted was a place to call home. At the age of seventeen, I'm finally starting to feel it here. Home.

When he comes along, it unsettles me. I don't want him to ruin everything we've built - everything that matters. Jax Jayne is arrogant, privilege and I want nothing to do with him. But those green eyes of his keep drawing me in. If I let down my walls, will it be my final undoing? -Goodreads' Synopsis

Aha! I miss sharing my thoughts on a book I have read and here comes one after my last review at here, my blog.

When I first been approved by the publisher through NetGalley, I take way too long to pick this book to read because I'm kind of doubtful upon reading the synopsis and I guess...I was wrong. It is definitely one of the best books I read in 2017. This is why I don't want to read the synopsis in the first place.

I have been tied to the books right from the first page and it hard to put the book down. The storyline, plot, and characters are perfect. One book, two main characters having the same emotion but two different complications in their life. That's how it has held me tight to read this book.

What makes it even more fantastic is the author using POV. It means, us as a reader could see two different POV from the two main characters! Love it.

Anyway, let make it short of what it is about without me pouring too much info about this (hope so!). Jax Jayne's family is all into music which his three brothers form a band and the fame they received is beyond words. The fans were a little bit too much. Though his brothers form a band, Jax is not interested because they have different taste in music than him. Because of the fame, fans all that put Jax under pressure and mad with all people around him and the world. So, his mother sent him to Aunt Betty house where the start of something that is beyond his imagination.

While Sivan. A girl, who lost her parents and a brother since she was still young, does not understand anything about the world and she does not have anyone to rely on and to live with, hence, the foster care. The struggle living in one after one family is too much for her to handle, put her under self-defense because something happened to her when she lives with one of the foster family not until she met Aunt Betty where she found love.

The book has made me think that you have to open yourself a bit to see and to receive love from people who truly love you and care about you. Also, you need to see on the bright side - everything happens has its own reason.

I suggest you should pick this book and read it because I'm sure you going to love it.
