Synopsis

Have you ever wondered what really happens to Santa Claus letters? In Detroit and Sarasota some children’s letters are diverted and reviewed by Nick Archer, a religiously obsessed, narcissist. Nick responds, leaving a trail of devastation in the two cities.

In Detroit, co-ed partners and wise-cracking lovers, detectives Jaq McSween and David Maxwell, team up with Sarasota detectives Abel Mendoza and his partner, Rabbit, to find this daunting killer.

When Jaq’s friend, the lovely nurse, Rita Rose, takes a chance on love again, she gets caught in Nick’s web. Working with the ME, she joins in, adding her perspective when events take a sinister turn.

Can this diverse team of characters pool their insights, barbs, and taste for bad food to save Rita when she discovers the final clues or will she become the next victim?

books

I didn't read a thriller that many, I guess this is the first thriller book or maybe the second one? I'm not sure but anyhow, Triple Cross Killer has really kept me on the edge of my reading.  I couldn't wait to know what is going to be next or even when they are going to realize who the killer is! It is super frustrating when I know who the one doing it and yet they haven't had any clue - who the heck he is when he is really really close to them.

Get what I feel?

In short, Triple Cross Killer - is about this one guy who calls himself as a Santa Claus, a guy who thinks he is the savior for the children when he is not! Argh! I am super mad at this guy, name, Nick. He is so cruel and yet sweet. I'm not going to elaborate more on him. Read yourself and you will know what I'm talking about.

There are 4 detectives that work freaking hard even on Christmas day. They could not sit still and even proper meal just because they want to solve this case as soon as they can. One thing for sure, there is no 'give up' words ever appear in their life. The detectives are definitely amazing.

And lastly, we have Rita Rose. A girl who has been heartbroken in the previous relationship and jumps into another yet to found out that guy is even cruel than her previous boyfriend which makes even more hurt to her though she is lucky to have a wonderful best friend and a detective too that always by her side which is great. Her character is quite naive and it is a likable character.

The story plot is kinda slow as there will be one after another case appear as I said it will put you on the edge of your seat or maybe bitting your nails while reading it and there are quite too much talking in one chapter that is a bit frustrating me but it is still an enjoyable reading because it makes me feels like I'm a detective, finding who did that, why they did that, and what is that person?

Oh! The food that mentioned multiple times in the book really makes me hungry and because of that, I have to put the book down, find some food to eat while reading. hiks

Overall, the writing is good and the flow of the story is smooth although, I feel like want to shout to the detective - can't you see people around you?? The clue is there!! hahaha Well, they will not hear my shout anyway. The ending is perfect! Kudos to the author for writing a thriller book that makes me feel to read it all night but I don't because I need my beauty sleep and to work.

  1. OMG, the author was a judge? She looks very young though!

Two genres that scared me so far - thriller, mystery. Still, they can be addictive.

It is always someone close who did the bad thing, unexpected. They can be sooooo unlikely to be suspects! Haha
