In today post, I would like to share with you, my "Big Book Haul" in which all these books have been accumulated since early of January 2018 until May 2018. Most of the books I have received from Pansing Books in exchange for an honest review while a few are from my own and some of them I received from the author/publisher and also from a giveaway I participated.
Also, just so you know, some of the books I have already reviewed it here on my blog which I will share with you the links to my review.
So, without further ado, let's dive into my book haul!
- The Explorer by Katherine Rundell - It's about an adventure of four young teenagers that stranded in Amazon after their plane crashes into the jungle and through that experience they learn a lot from it. 4.5 stars from me!
- Begone the Raggedy Witch (The Wild Trilogy #1) by Celine Kiernan - It's a world of magic that has been ruled by the evil queen, so, Mup and her mother and baby brother with the dog are on a mission to rescue her father that been kidnapped by the evil queen. 4/5 Stars.
- Sunflowers in February by Phyllida Shrimpton - This book is one of my anticipated reading and yes, the book topics (or themes) are quite heavy which consists of death, grief, misery, love, and longing in one book. 3.5/5 Stars.
- The City of Secret Rivers by Jacob Sager Weinstein - The story is definitely a fast-paced adventure with Hyacinth brings us to the epic fantasy adventure underground river (or is it a sewer?). 3.5/5 Stars.
- The Last Namsara by Kristen Ciccarelli - Basically, this book is about a girl, Asha who is a dragon-slayer also a destroyer which means anyone who touches her will be dead. 4/5 Stars.
- Flying Tips For Flightless Birds by Kelly McCaughrain - If you have watched The Greatest Showman then maybe you shall consider reading this book. It's about the twins who have been living their life for the circus and I have to say, it is interesting to read. 4/5 Stars.
- Children of Blood and Bone by Tomi Adeyemi - This is the most epic high fantasy book that you have to read it! It's a West-African mythology and it has magic and all that. Do read it, guys! 5/5 Stars.
- Breaking News (Kensy & Max #1) by Jacqueline Harvey - I just finished reading this book recently and I pretty much enjoy it. Well, if you are into spy with action-packed, I certainly recommend you to read this. 4/5 Stars.
- Jake Atlas and the Hunt for Feathered God by Rob Lloyd Jones (Jake Atlas #2) - I just started reading this book today and I only have the second book the series, so, I hope it didn't leave me so much behind from the first series.
- Kid Normal (#1) and Kid Normal and the Rogue Heroes (Kid Normal #2) by Greg James and Chris Smith - I'm not really sure what the books are about but all I know from the synopsis said that "you don't need to have the superpower to save the day!" which I'm sure it's going to be a fun reading. Excited to start both of the series soon!
- When The Mountains Roared by Jess Butterworth - All I know about this book is Ruby who has been left devastated after her dad decided to set up a new hotel in the mountains of India. Now, that sound interesting isn't it? I received an arc from Pansing Books and it just got published on the 5th of April 2018.
- The Exact Opposites of Okay by Laura Steven - I heard many great things about this book that has lots of topics cover which I am so intrigued me to read this book. Many have said 'this book is going to change the world' and I would like to be part of it!
- The Belles by Dhonielle Clayton - "In the opulent world of Orléans, Belles are revered, for they control Beauty, and Beauty is a commodity coveted above all else." Another anticipated reading of mine for 2018, I could not wait to read it and share my opinions with you.
Next, books I purchased but unfortunately, it is not in the photo as I forgot to put it together in this. Gosh! Why on earth did I forget about them but nonetheless, I only bought two books which are;
Looking For Alaska by John Green - Been looking for this book for so long and finally found it at SunMag. Seriously, you guys have to go to SunMag and hunt for beautiful gems that been hidden there. Anyway, this book has something that could make your heart bleed and I kind of wondering what is it all about.
Let It Snow by John Green - Yes, another by John Green I bought at the same place. I guess this book in the center of romance, maybe? I'm not sure about that but anyhow, hopefully, I will enjoy reading both of these gems.
While Nothing Left To Burn by Heather Ezell - I won from a giveaway that organized by the author itself and it's an ARC! From the synopsis, "But as secrets from Brooks's dark past come to light, Audrey can't help but wonder if there's danger in the pull she feels--both toward this boy, and toward the fire burning in the distance."
As for the Heart of Iron by Ashley Poston is from the subscription box of The Open Pages Box and all I know about this book is set in space and it's a sci-fi! It's been awhile I read a sci-fi book which I absolutely excited to start reading the book.
Also, Aaru by David Meredith that been sent to by the author in exchange for an honest review. Another sci-fi book that a girl name Rose whom her radiant mind has been uploaded to a massive super computer called - Aaru. That sounds weird but interesting at the same time.
Last but not least, an e-ARC I received from the author herself to read and review of The Soldier Prince - Royals of Stellangard Book One by Aarti V. Raman.
