Synopsis

Echo Ridge is small-town America. Ellery's never been there, but she's heard all about it. Her aunt went missing there at age seventeen. And only five years ago, a homecoming queen put the town on the map when she was killed. Now Ellery has to move there to live with a grandmother she barely knows.

The town is picture-perfect, but it's hiding secrets. And before school even begins for Ellery, someone's declared open season on homecoming, promising to make it as dangerous as it was five years ago. Then, almost as if to prove it, another girl goes missing.

Ellery knows all about secrets. Her mother has them; her grandmother does too. And the longer she's in Echo Ridge, the clearer it becomes that everyone there is hiding something. The thing is, secrets are dangerous--and most people aren't good at keeping them. Which is why in Echo Ridge, it's safest to keep your secrets to yourself.

thoughts

I think I am rarely read any YA Thriller/Mystery as it is not really my main favourite, however, Karen M. McManus has struck again! Last year, I read a book by her which One Of Us Is Lying and I really really enjoy that book so much and now, Two Can Keep A Secret? Boy, this book is absolutely amazing and I enjoy reading it.

To keep it simple as I do not want to spoil it much as this book will be released out on January 8th, 2019 which is in a few days still I just want to keep it secret and you will be surprised how amazing this book is. So, the story follows with Ellery and her twin has to move to her mother's town and live with their grandmother. It was a town name Echo Ridge which is full of secrets and mystery and Ellery who love anything in regards to crime fiction also the mystery of her mother's twin sister who went missing - she wants to dig and solve the mystery. Suddenly, another thing happened - her schoolmate went missing - and she is not going to sit still.

Two Can Keep A Secret has held me strong and turn on the curiosity that keeps me guessing, however, all my guessing was wrong. Well, you can't help to suspect every people in that town. That being said, this book is definitely a page-turner - you can not put the book down as it hits your curiosity - you want to know, you just need to know what happened next and why and who did it. For me, it didn't create any suspenseful events for me but just as I mentioned, you just want the secret to being out and about - it needed to be solved. The characters are all great and I, especially like Ellery and her twin brother also Mia and Malcolm. Karen M. McManus's writing is fantastic with the gripping story plot that will turn on your curiosity.

Overall, it was the best YA Thriller read that I really do enjoy my time reading it. Hence, you should pick this book once it releases on January 8th, 2019.
