When I put my head on this book right at the very first page, I was quickly been absorbed into the story. There are so many amazing things about this book I want to share but then, I need to refrain from spoiling it way too much. Anyhow, I would 100% recommend Malamander to all the kids to read it.

Anyway, the book followed with Herbie Lemon age 12 years old who works at the Lost-and-Founder at Grand Nautilus Hotel where he finds and keeps those things safe at his workplace so that one day when the rightful owner comes to claim they will get it back. However, one day, a girl name Violet Parma came crash to his place and appoint Herbie to help her find her parents who she has lost 12 years ago and no one knows what happened to them. During those times of searching, they uncover the truth behind Malamander. But what is that? Is it truly exist? Or is it a mere legendary myth? No one knows.

Malamander has an interesting premise that I, as an adult love the story. The setting of the story is really entrancing. You can't help but fall in love with the place from your own imaginary. I would love to read this book to the kids, however, I don't have kids myself nor nephews/nieces yet. I am surely going to buy the physical copy and keep it so that I can read it to my kids in the future. Not only it has an amazing premise even the characters' name itself are SO weirdly creative such as Mrs. Fossil who collecting things at the sea and so much more that you will find it through reading Malamander. 

The author's writing indeed makes you want to read more and more until you find all the answer to the question. That is one the reason what makes this book even more interesting although I have to say that there is still some question are yet to be answered in this first book, I may as well looking forward to the next in the series - if you read, you might understand what I meant. The plot pace is easy for you to go through with your kids or if your kids reading by itself. You will feel relax when reading them from one chapter to another.

Overall, the story is definitely interesting, the characters are all really likable even the villain itself. The plot pace is great. I really recommended this for you to read especially the kids.
