In the second fantasy set in Eerie-on-Sea, Herbert and Violet team up to solve the mystery of the Gargantis — an ancient creature of the deep with the power to create life-threatening storms.

There's a storm brewing over Eerie-on-Sea, and the fisherfolk say a monster is the cause. Someone has woken the ancient Gargantis, who sleeps in the watery caves beneath this spooky seaside town where legends have a habit of coming to life. It seems the Gargantis is looking for something: a treasure stolen from her underwater lair. And it just might be in the Lost-and-Foundery at the Grand Nautilus Hotel, in the care of one Herbert Lemon, Lost-and-Founder. With the help of the daring Violet Parma, ever-reliable Herbie will do his best to figure out what the Gargantis wants and who stole her treasure in the first place. In a town full of suspicious, secretive characters, it could be anyone!

I scream when I received this book! It is a sequel to Malamander. The epic, amazing middle-grade fantasy book ever. So excited to dive into the story as fast as I can.

Gargantis story follows when Mrs. Fossil been brought to a hotel where Herbie working at. Mrs. Fossil told everyone that she found the greatest beachcombing treasure. After some moments happened, Lady Kraken decided that Herbie should be the one to keep the treasure because that is what Herbie's job does. He keep the item while waiting/looking for the right owner to come to claim the item. However, this time there are something about the treasure that Herbie decided to investigate and solve the mystery it all at once.

In this second series, it has so much more amazing adventure to look forward to, a new mystery to uncover, and the amazing Herbie and Vi teamwork to solve the mystery. I seriously could not get enough of the story. I love the setting. It feels like I could imagine the whole scene, the scenery, the people, the monster and so much more. Which means the author has done really a great job in his writing. A very descriptive, creative, magical place where you excited to run together with all the characters. No words can fit perfectly on how much I love this series. It was really good. Very very recommended to everyone. I heard there is going to be another sequel coming out soon. I'm thrilled and can't wait!
