One Christmas wish, two brothers, and a lifetime of hope are on the line for hapless Maelyn Jones in In a Holidaze, the quintessential holiday romantic novel by Christina Lauren, the New York Times bestselling author of The Unhoneymooners..
It’s the most wonderful time of the year…but not for Maelyn Jones. She’s living with her parents, hates her going-nowhere job, and has just made a romantic error of epic proportions.
But perhaps worst of all, this is the last Christmas Mae will be at her favorite place in the world—the snowy Utah cabin where she and her family have spent every holiday since she was born, along with two other beloved families. Mentally melting down as she drives away from the cabin for the final time, Mae throws out what she thinks is a simple plea to the universe: Please. Show me what will make me happy.
The next thing she knows, tires screech and metal collides, everything goes black. But when Mae gasps awake…she’s on an airplane bound for Utah, where she begins the same holiday all over again. With one hilarious disaster after another sending her back to the plane, Mae must figure out how to break free of the strange time loop—and finally get her true love under the mistletoe.
Jam-packed with yuletide cheer, an unforgettable cast of characters, and Christina Lauren’s trademark “downright hilarious” (Helen Hoang, author of The Bride Test) hijinks, this swoon-worthy romantic read will make you believe in the power of wishes and the magic of the holidays.

This book is better to read during Christmas but I guess during the holiday season is okay too because it's a holiday and where we always spent our time with family and friends. But I read it in January, no holidays. Anyhow, it doesn't matter anyway. The important is the story, the characters and the plot. That being said, anything from Christina Lauren gonna be the best one.
Why "In A Holidaze" is the best read? Here, let me share a bit from the story. The story starts off with Maelyn Jones with her family and their close family friends will spend their time together at their holiday cabin. Every year, many fun activities will be doing it together at the same cabin in the same city, and however, during this time something weird/magical has happened to Maelyn. Maelyn is in love with Andrew (her childhood friends) since she was 13 years old but the thing is she kiss Theo - Andrew's brother and she feels it was not right and guilty of it. She wants to erase that memory. The thing is something happened to Maelyn after she asked the universe "Can you show me what will make me happy?" And that's the beginning of everything.
This book gives me all the feelings that I need from a story. A cozy, heart-warming, sweet, romantic, funny, annoyed and it is such a lovely read. I love the story so much that makes me remember every detail of it. The characters are very likable.
Maelyn's character is so relatable when it comes to how panic you are when things went weird and you need someone for you to share about it, felt guilty doing something you shouldn't do in the first place, and especially when she decided to stick with her job even though she hates it but she needs something to knock her off to finally doing something right in her life (quit her job!). This is how I see from my perspective because that is me. It's relatable to me in every way minus the relationship. Maelyn is an honest person and funny too. So do, Andrew's character. He is an amazing, romantic, cute, funny, and loving man but he is way too perfect. But I still like him though except he may not exist in the real world, I guess.
Anyhow, In A Holidaze is seriously hilarious, sweet, and quite emotional at the same time. I love it in every way this story unfolds. I love the writing - how deep and meaningful it is in the story about family, love, and friendships. In A Holidaze is the perfect escapism.
I love betul kalo Christina Lauren tulis ni... hehehe
