The Hatmakers is definitely a captivating, amusing middle grade that brought a laugh in me while reading the book.
The Hatmakers is a story about Cordelia/Dilly who is a daughter of a hatmaker but her father has lost at sea during he and his team on a mission to collect hat ingredients. The news brought a shock to Cordelia. She was so sad, however, later that morning she woke up with a positive mind which she trust her instinct that her father is still alive and she is determined to find her father. Little did she know, there are an enemy trying to threaten to start a war. She need to search for a great solution to solve the conflict.
I, honestly enjoy throughout the story. Cordelia is such a fun, amazing and determined to do things she want. I admire her confidence. Together with her two friends working hard to hamper the enemy down. There are so cute and funny.
I whizzed through the story smoothly, wide open my imagination of this magical world which so exciting and I seriously could not put the book down because it so enjoyable. I couldn't wait to read the next instalment. It is a fun read and I'm sure the children will enjoy reading this book too.
The Hatmakers by Tamzin Merchant is available at all good bookstores.
I'm attracted to the cover
