Blurb

With his passion for romance novels, it was only a matter of time before Vlad took up the pen to write a novel the Bromance Book Club would swoon over.

Elena Konnikova has lived her entire adult life in the shadows. As the daughter of a Russian journalist who mysteriously disappeared after speaking out against government corruption, she escaped danger the only way she knew how. She agreed to marry her childhood friend, Vladimir, and move to the United States, where he is a professional hockey player in Nashville.

Vlad, aka The Russian, thought he could be content with his marriage of convenience. But after four years, it's become too difficult to continue in a one-sided relationship. He joined the Bromance Book Club to learn how to make his wife love him, but all he's learned is that he deserves more. He's ready to create his own sweeping romance - both on and off the page.

The Bros are unwilling to let Vlad forgo true love - and this time they're not operating solo. They join forces with Vlad's senior citizen neighbors, a group of meddling widows who call themselves The Loners. Just when things finally look promising, the danger from Elena's past life intrudes, and the book club will face their first-ever life-or-death grand gesture as they race to a happy ever after.

Review

Lyssa Kay Adams is back with a new romance for the member of the Bromance Book Club. I'm so in love with the first and third books. I mean I enjoy reading their story although I haven't got my hands on the second book but it is all fine if you skip because it is not a continuation instead it is a companion. When I heard there is the fourth book is coming this year, I'm so excited, especially since this is about Vlad aka the Russian.

I'm so looking forward to reading Isn't It Bromantic when we know how sweet and soft Vlad is. The thing is...honestly, I was disappointed with it. Not too much disappointed, it was just I couldn't feel it much for this book. I felt that there is lacking romance between Vlad and Elena like I couldn't feel their chemistry and it felt empty between them. Of course, there are some funny, fun moments in this one but it is not as much as the other two books I have mentioned before.

The moment when Vlad and Elena keep on playing pull and push was really frustrating and the communication between the two of them was...I don't know, not much? More assumptions than communication. The romance between them was meh, in my opinion. For Elena's character - I feel there's something missing here. I couldn't connect with her at all.

However, I love the member of the Bromance Book Club and Vlad's neighbor aka the Loners join forces to help Vlad and his wife's marriage from crumbling. They are fun and make this story more lively.

Overall, I don't hate nor I can love this book hence the 3 stars. It is just a bit frustrating and disappointing but it is still an okay read for me. I wish I can give all my love to Isn't It Bromantic like the other two books I have read. You know what, I still looking forward to next Lyssa Kay Adams's book and in the meantime, I shall buy Undercover Bromance (Bromance Book Club #2).
