The Last Namsara is my first reading of a book that contains a dragon in the story. I'm kind of skeptical at first as to whether will I enjoying my reading or will be going to stop halfway because how it took me times to finally digesting the story and to get really invested in the story.

Before I share my thoughts about it, let me give it a brief story about The Last Namsara. Asha is the Iskari also a dragon-slayer and always on the hunt of the dragon and have sworn to find the oldest dragon and to kill it as what she has experience when she was a kid and that has put a scar that causes by the dragon's fire. The way for her to call the dragon is by using a forbidden old story and that will bring dragon close to her - the First Dragon.

The Last Namsara has a strong female protagonist as the main character in the book where she been a hunter/dragon-slayer also could say that she is kind of heartless when it comes to hunting the dragon to death but after she gets to know a slave boy, her hearts start to open bit by bit and she can see who is on the right side and who is not. Throughout the book, I can see Asha's character development - from someone who always has only one thing in her mind to someone start to see a wide perspective on people around her.

What I love reading The Last Namsara is that there are chapters on previous Iskari and Namsara also the dragon. Another I love reading this is the interaction between a dragon and the human in this book also what makes it more interesting. How at first, Asha really hated the dragons to a someone who can interact very well with the dragon and grow fond towards them.

Overall, it is an interesting young adult fantasy book even though I, at first felt a bit skeptical about the premise of this book somehow eventually, pages after pages, I start to love reading it and certainly would love to recommend to you, if you would like to have a badass female protagonist with forbidden love blooming in the book and dragons, so why not pick The Last Namsara and enjoy your reading.
