Book One: Clockwork Angel
Book Two: Clockwork Prince
Book Three: Clockwork Princess

Here is my review for the Clockwork Angel (The Infernal Devices #1) by Cassandra Clare

Synopsis: "In a time when Shadowhunters are barely winning the fight against the forces of darkness, one battle will change the course of history forever. Welcome to the Infernal Devices trilogy, a stunning and dangerous prequel to the New York Times bestselling Mortal Instruments series.

The year is 1878. Tessa Gray descends into London’s dark supernatural underworld in search of her missing brother. She soon discovers that her only allies are the demon-slaying Shadowhunters—including Will and Jem, the mysterious boys she is attracted to. Soon they find themselves up against the Pandemonium Club, a secret organization of vampires, demons, warlocks, and humans. Equipped with a magical army of unstoppable clockwork creatures, the Club is out to rule the British Empire, and only Tessa and her allies can stop them..."

Thoughts

Cassandra Clare is really an amazing fantasy author ever and her Shadowhunter series are fricking phenomenal! I like The Mortal Instruments and I love Lady Midnight (The Dark Artifices #1) which I put it on hold from reading the whole series because many said that you should read The Infernal Devices series first before The Dark Artifices and I am doing it now!!

Clockwork Angel is set in England in the year 1800s. My first thought when I knew that it is set in the 1800s I was a bit skeptical that I'm going to love this series like is the first book is going to be boring? How does it going to be? But you know, I was deeply wrong! I was entirely wrong! What a foolish me for having that thought. It was definitely more interesting than The Mortal Instrument. I think I love The Infernal Devices more than TMI. I'm sorry but that's the truth.

In TID, Tessa Gray has traveled to England with one thing in her mind to meet his brother after their aunt dead. So, when she arrived someone approaches her and show a letter from her brother to follow these two women - The Dark Sisters. Little did she know, she been kidnapped until the Shadowhunters rescue her from The Dark Sisters.

The story is really captivating that not one moment during your reads you get bored instead you start to wonder what happens next and who is the actual mastermind. Clockwork Angel is full of surprise, action-packed, interesting characters - Tessa is great and Will Herondale is annoying yet he is charming also Jem, he is sweet and cool and also wonderful world settings. I enjoy reading this book and I cannot wait to read Clockwork Prince and I am starting now!

Clockwork Prince (The Infernal Devices #2) - Excerpt

"Oh, yes. It really does look just as I imagined," Tessa said, and turned to smile at the boy who stood beside her. He had just helped her over a puddle, and his hand still rested politely on her arm, just above the crook of her elbow.

James Carstairs smiled back at her, elegant in his dark suit, his silver-fair hair whipped by the wind. His other hand rested on a jade-topped cane, and if any great of the great crowd of people milling around them thought that it was odd that someone so young should need a walking stick, or found anything unusual about his coloring or the cast of his features, they didn't pause to stare.

Clockwork Princess (The Infernal Devices #3) - Excerpt

"December is a fortuitous for a marriage," said the seamstress, speaking around her mouthful of pins with the ease of years of practice. "As they say, 'When December snows fall fast, marry, and true love will last.'" She placed a final pin in the gown and took a step back. "There. What do you think? It is modeled after one of Worth's own designs."
