Audrey Lee is going to the Olympics.
A year ago, she could barely do a push up as she recovered from a spine surgery, one that could have paralyzed her. And now? She's made the United States' gymnastics team with her best friend, Emma, just like they both dreamed about since they were kids. She's on top of the world.
The pressure for perfection is higher than ever when horrifying news rips the team apart. Audrey is desperate to advocate for her teammate who has been hurt by the one person they trusted most--but not all the gymnasts are as supportive.
With the team on the verge of collapse, the one bright spot in training is Leo, her new coach's ridiculously cute son. And while Audrey probably (okay, definitely) shouldn't date him until after the games, would it really be the end of the world?
Balancing the tenuous relationship between her teammates with unparalleled expectations, Audrey doesn't need any more distractions. No matter what it takes, she's not going to let anyone bring them down. But with painful revelations, incredible odds, and the very real possibility of falling at every turn, will Audrey's determination be enough?

This is really an amazing read. It's about loyalty & sincerity in friendship, teamwork, stand by each other side, and most of all, empowering girls/women to succeed and become stronger.
I'm so excited to read this book as soon as I read the blurbs. My most favourite sports to watch on TV is Gymnastics! I always love watching it with my mom. So, when a gymnastic sport becomes a story in a book, of course, I will dive into it right away. I love all the detailed the author put into the story from their routines as a gymnast which I always wonder how, during the competition, their coaches, scores including the journalist as well. It is really well-written.
Besides, this book also tackles a big issue on sexual assault that happened in the team. It was really painful to know that in reality, it does happen. Although there's a conflict in that situation, these girls are strong and brave to go through to that situation and came out stronger. Not only that, another issue that addressed in the book is when Audrey has a back injury. Despite how painful and struggle she is after her spine surgery, she manages to get through it and to get herself a place to compete in the Olympics.
"...Whenever you're unhappy with a routine or a skill, just shake your head a bit. Acknowledge it and then move on so you can refocus and improve next time out."
What a story without some romance in it. Leo Adams is such a handsome, sweet supportive and understand Audrey very as he is too a sportsman. It is really adorable. I love this couple!
All in all, it is a wonderful story with an intense story also lovable friendship and amazing gymnast that I could not get enough of it and this is by far the best among the best book I have read in 2020. I love it and I really want to get a finished copy of this book. I really recommended you too to read this book once it is available at all good bookstores!
