The first novel in a lyrical, endlessly inventive urban fantasy trilogy from debut author Holly Race.

Fifteen-year-old Londoner Fern is about to uncover a place that she could not have imagined in all her wildest dreams. Annwn is the dream mirror of our world, a place where Dreamers walk in their slumber, their dreams playing out all around them. An enchanted, mysterious place that feeds our own world - as without dreams, without a place where our imaginations and minds can be nourished, what kind of humans would we be?

But Annwn is a place as full of dangers as it is wonders: it is a place where dreams can kill you. Annwn and its Dreamers are protected by an ancient order known as the Knights - and when Fern's hated twin Ollie is chosen to join their ranks, Fern will have to do whatever she can to prove she is one of them too.

But the world Fern discovers in Annwn, in this dream mirror of her London, is a fragile one, threatened by vicious nightmares. Nightmares that are harder and harder for the Knights to defeat. Something dark is jeopardising the peace and stability of Annwn, something that must be rooted out at all costs. And gradually, Fern realises that the danger lurking inside our sleep is more insidious and terrifying than any nightmare. Because if you can influence someone's dreams, you can control their thoughts ...

This one just wow me a lot. Seriously, a lot.

I mean a story about when you fall asleep, you will enter a different world and become a knight? This is not simply just a dream. It brings the person to an entirely new world where you will fight nightmares and such.

Fern life is not as easy as it should be. Her twins she thought who will protect her was failed to do so. She hated her twin brother, Ollie for many many years. So, when they turn 15, Fern discovers a whole new world that fascinates her so much. She was excited. The thing it is not as fun as it should be. The dream world is fragile, with the power in their hands someone can control other people's minds, and threatening. So, here comes the knights to protect the world together. When Fern is finally been accepted along with her twin brother both of them, have to undergo training before becoming the knights. Little did they know, they both share a power together called immral.

I thoroughly enjoy the premise, the concept of this story. I whooshed through the story in less than 2 days. It saddens me a bit when it already comes to an end but I was happy to see the character growth of Fern and Ollie. It was so pleasing to see how their broken relationship is mended the way it should be. The mystery in this book makes it even more interesting. In short, Midnight's Twins is epically amazing, fantastic comes with friendship, family, drama, love, and a huge mystery. I love the story so much that I cannot wait for the next installments. Highly recommended.
