Magical fantasy? Yes, count me in! I love love and enjoy any story that comes with something magical. It feels so enchanted.
Kate only knows about her Uncle Herbert through her parents. They describe her Uncle Herbert as lazy and he had so much money. So, on her 11th birthday, she decided to write a letter to Uncle Herbert which she tells him in the letter is that she wants a present. The thing she did put the letter in the postbox to sent to her uncle and yet she does not write any address because she did not know. The next day she was surprised when her Uncle Herbert arrived with a huge train. She was skeptical about the present because it is not her thing but Kate and her brother, Tom decided to ride the train and off they go on a mysterious journey in which they will pick up many passengers and there are animals.
The Silver Arrow is really fascinating, magically wonderful, teared up my emotion. Love the story, how they discover about themselves, Kate, and become much closer to her brother and get to work well with each other. Besides that, they also found out something about their mother.
I am sure the younger kids will enjoy this story as much as we the adults. Easy to get through the story, build up our imagination and a lovely comfort story. Liking it very much. Truly recommended to read.
