Hello beautiful, handsome people🎔
I know this is almost towards the end of the year. Obviously, I'm late. But, I still want to do it, no matter what! So, bear with me, please. Let me have fun answering these questions.
How many books have you read?
As of October 13th, 2022, I have had managed to read 42 books out of 50 books. This year is not an easy year for me. However, reading has helped me in a good way to manage my emotions. I'm hoping that I can read more than 50 books before the end of 2022. Based on the pie chart below, it seems that I have a fair share of 5 stars and 4.5 stars, while slightly more than 20% is 4 stars. I think it is quite hard to satisfied my dear self as compare to last year. Rest assure dear self, we will see how in my next reading.
Into the real deal questions.
1. Best books you've read so far in 2022
These are the books I have been enjoy a lot. That made me cry, laugh, smile and my hearts beat so fast reading them all. As for The Love Hypothesis, I read it again this year in a good mood and with the right frame of mind. I'm giving myself a second chance to read this book and what I can say is fascinating! It is really good one. I'm definitely a sucker for a fake dating trope. Besides that, it has been quite several years since I last read a Malay novel. Gosh! It feels so good to read such a wonderful Malay novel by ManesWordWorks! A new publisher that has my heart. Please do try read books published by them, if you haven't! You can read my review on Cinta, Untuk Sekali Lagi and Buah Hati Nafessa.
2. Best sequel you've read so far
The third installment in the Legends-of-Eerie-on-Sea. This is a middle grade book that I have been fully invested with. It is so good and it makes me freaking excited to follow an adventure with Herbie and his best friend, Violet. Things getting better and better in this story.

I had high expectation for this book which I thought would be one of my favourite book of the year. However, it is a disappointment to me. I wish I can give all my love to it, but I can't. Instead, I only get through 30% of the book. It just won't work for me.
6. Biggest surprise
As I said, this is the time of the year that I should get back to reading Malay novels, and this book was such a surprise to me that I gave it 10 over 5 stars. I just love it. It gives me great comfort.
7. Favourite new author (debut or new to you)

I think my newest fictional crush is Khalil from Buah Hati Nafeesa. Can he exist in this real world for me? I mean come on I have a huge crush on him!

The Girl and the Ghost by Hanna Alkaf is really a charming book. I love everything about this book. It really made me happy. From the Star Wars' reference to the friendship to discovering the truth of it, it just really an amazing feeling.
"The fact that this
book read by everyone around the globe - WONDERFUL. No words could
really describe how great it is. Like please everyone, pick this book.
The story line is so interesting that you can’t leave the book, not even
a minute because you just NEED to know what is next. That being said, I
have no idea there’s a plot twist in it and I’m so shock. Seriously,
love the story." (Full review is on my Instagram: click here)
